May 1-2: Camp DuBois Rendezvous
Location: Rt 143 & Rt 3, Wood River, IL
Event Detail: An Historical Re-enactment of the 1700-1840's Frontier Era. Celebrate the historical period between 1700 and 1840. See demonstrators in period clothing, a black powder shoot, a "hawk" throw, fire starting with flint and steel contests, children's and women's activities, period food sales, crafts, Fife and Drum music, vendor sales of period items, contests, flag raising and much more. Period costumes encouraged for campers, crafters, and other participants. Illustrations of Lewis & Clark's epic journey are located on the trail around the lake. Free - donations encouraged. $10 campping fee.

May 1-2: Baubaugo Station Living History Festival
Location: Feretti-Bauo County Park, Corner of Ash Road and Lincolnway East, Osceola, IN 46561
Event Detail: The 21st Annual Baubaugo Station Living History Festival will be held May1&2 at Ferrette Baugo County Park on the Corner of Ash Road and Lincolnway East, Osceola,IN, this event is sponsored by Brothers of the Wind of Indiana. This is a pre 1840 fur trade reenactment/rendezvous which will include Barony of White Water Medieval Camp and Demonstrations. Pancake and sausage breakfast Saturday and Sunday AM Knife and hawk throws, medieval Weapons demonstrations, archery shoot, skillet toss and scavenger hunt are planned. There will be an auction on Sunday afternoon as well. This is a fun family event... come join us as we bring history ALIVE!

May 7-9: Duck Creek Muzzleloaders Spring Family Rendezvous
Location: Club Range, Elk City, KS 67344
Event Detail: Muzzleloading Black Powder Rifles shooting patched round ball with Open Metallic sights only. Offhand only, no slings allowed. Shooting starts around 9:00 AM on the 8th. DCML's rules are posted and apply. Other events include Pistol shoot and Hawk Throw. Candle Shoots Friday and Saturday Night if interest dictates. Bring all yer toys -who knows? All events include a $5-$10 blanket prize - be sure to bring one for events you enter! $10 shooting fee for rifle shoot. All prizes Awarded Before POT LUCK Supper on Saturday evening. Don't forget to bring a side dish! A pot of something will be on the fire Friday night for supper. Separate primitive & modern camping. Firewood and water available. Primitive dress strongly encouraged, but not mandatory.

All PETS must be on a leash at all times, parents are responsible for their children! TRADERS WELCOME, NO EXTRA FEE. NO CAMPING FEES. Saturday lunch will be available at Jed's Chuck Wagon. Instruction will be provided for new shooters - bring an adult if you're under 18.The club has a new range so call or e-mail for directions. We supply some wood and water.

Directions to New Site: The new range is located Northwest of Elk City, Kansas. From the Elk City corner on Highway 160 go 2.1 miles North to the 1700 Road (at the Kim-Mac sign), then North on 1700 Road 2.5 miles to Road 6200 (at the Kim-Mac sign), then East .2 miles to the first driveway on the North side of the road. Follow the drive to the range. Or, from the US 400/US 75 overpass West of Neodesha, go 6.8 miles West on 300 Road (old US 96) to the Six-Mile Corner, South 1.6 miles on Harper Road to 200 Road, West to the old Schoolhouse, South through LaFountaine, South 2.5 miles on LaFountaine Road, then West on 6200 Road (at the Kim-Mac sign) 2.8 miles to the driveway. Follow the drive to the range.

May 13-16: 2nd Annual Old Fort Parker Mountain Man Beginner Rendezvous
Location: Old Fort Parker, 866 Park Rd 35, Groesbeck, Texas 76642
Event Detail: Buck Skinners and Pilgrims (newcomers) will be allowed to camp together and enjoy each others company for the weekend. Pilgrims will live as Mountain Men for the weekend. They will cook over an open fire, compete in shooting, hawk and knife throwing and archery contests. Contests will be held for men, women and children. (Please use caution with children) Camp will be open Thurs, thru Sun. There will be traders where you will be able to purchase the possibles you need to compete your gear. New hawk and shooting events, Pilgrims -- Beginners.

Bring what gear you have. Nylon tents and blue jeans are OK at this event only! COME EARLY, STAY LATE !! We know you can not get everything at one time, so this is a great time to get your goods and be a beginner too! Help keep this period in history alive! Check web site for more detail.

May 14-16: Merical Mountain Rendezvous
Location: Marion, MT
Event Detail: Rifle Trail Walk, Fun Shoots (Sun), Pistol Course, Knife & Hawk Trail Walk (Sat), Mystery Event- 2 person team (Sun), Kids Games, Candy Cannon, Pot Luck Dinner (Sat Night). Period dress is encouraged, but not required. Dry camp (bring your own water), Primitive & Tin Tipi camps, dogs welcome (need leash), Load from pouch, patched round ball, open iron sights, no smoking or alcohol on range. Aggregate scoring (rifle, pistol & knife n hawk). Shooting/Camp fees: Single- $20, Family- $50, No blanket prize required. $1 fun shoots, $1 tomahawk poker.

Event Detail: Each morning the "Village of La Charrette" comes to life with settlers working, playing, and inviting you to experience their own 1804 River Settlement. Traders, trappers, and artisans will share the life skills and crafts of each 19th century America. Rendezvous for crafs and food while the La Charrette Free Trappers demonstrate black powder shooting and reenactor demonstrate camp life.

Event Detail: Readers Choice & Editors Choice book "La Charrette: Village Gateway to the American West" will be available for sale from 1:00 until 4:00 p.m. Author Lowell M. Schake will be present for comments and book signings. Dr. Schake, a native to Charrette Township, born on a Charrette Creek farm adjacent to old La Charrette Village, was especially well qualified to publish the first ever book about the village steeped in Lewis & Clark history and its relationship to Cote sans Dessein. May 29-30: Fort Meigs First Siege 1813 & Memorial Day Commemoration
Location: Perrysburg, OH
Event Detail: Sponsored by the ONMHA and Fort Meigs State Memorial. Straw, wood, water, indoor restrooms provided. Artillery units should call for additional information regarding a powder bounty. British, Native, and American forces are invited to participate. Siege works will separate the opposing forces as they recreate a garrison under siege. We recommend that each soldier bring at least 200 prepared rounds. Lantern tours for the public are scheduled for Saturday evening with reenactors serving as interpreters.

Event Detail: Directions: From Twin Falls, take Hwy 93 south to 1 mile north of Rogerson. Turn east on Shoshone Basin Rd. (good gravel) Go to corral at the “T”, turn right. Go 14.5 miles to the RENDEZVOUS SITE. At Hopper Gulch. Rendezvous and SIMLA signs will be posted all along the way. CAMPS- Traditional Primitive– Must maintain period correct appearance at all times, limited visitors hours, NO noise time restrictions. Family Primitive– Every attempt will be made to maintain “the Spirit of period correct appearance. Campers should be in period dress. Keep lawn chairs covered, ice chests covered, etc. Camps quiet by 11:30 P.M. Tin Tee Pee: Camps quite by 11:30 Traders Row– A Place just for you!
