Oct 3-5:   Cherokee of Georgia Tribal Council's Annual Fall Powwow
Location: Hwys 94 & 121, Tribal Grounds, St. George, Georgia
Event Detail: Drum - Redbird Singers, MC - Fred Glennon, Head Lady - Odell Press, Head Man - Scott Edwards, Arena Director - Lee Young. Tribal grounds offer mostly primitive campsites. There are limited electrical hookups for motor homes and travel trailers. Space is limited. Campers will be required to remove their vehicles to the parking area as soon as possible after unloading and setting up their campsites. If you plan to attend write or contact the tribe to make arrangements as tribal members obviously have 1st choice.

Traditional dancing, drumming, and Native crafts. Entertainment provided by NAMMY nominated Native American recording artist, Dave "White Wolf" Trezak; MC will be Snow Owl. Open 10 am to 5pm. Oct 12-13: First Annual Sabine Intertribal Powwow
Location: Zwolle High School Campus, 754 Championship Dr, Zwolle, LA 71486
Event Detail: The powwow is part of an annual local Zwolle festival held in Oct for over 30 years. This will be our first gathering in an attempt to share our American Indian heritage with the general festival-goers. Grounds will be open to the public Fri at 4pm. Arts & Crafts demonstrations & a Native Heritage padgent will follow at 6pm. A street dance will take place in town Friday night. A parade will begin at 10am Saturday, followed by Gourd dancing. All are welcome; please come & help us make this a good powwow.
