April 1-3, 2005: Cherokee Strip Land Rush Museum Mountain Man Living History Encampment
Location: Cherokee Strip Land Rush Museum, 31639 US 77, Arkansas City, KS
Event Detail: Pre-1840 Dress required. No pit fires-Fires must be contained in fire rings, above ground fire box or in a hidden Coleman stove. Each person is responsible for their area. Please keep trash and other items picked up. Bring your own firewood.
There are water hydrants at the facility for your use. Restrooms will be available.
Potluck Saturday evening-meat furnished. Setup begins Friday morning and will continue through Friday night. Bow and Arrow, Hawk and Knife demonstrations are allowed, however there will be no black powder shooting this year. Bring weapons for display.
For those who cannot camp at the campsite, there is an RV park next to the museum. The owner has agreed to make you a good deal!

Location: Eagle Ranch is located West of Collins MO. Take HWY 54, 4 miles to J go South 1 mile to Eagle Ranch
Event Detail: Camp fees are $8.00 for primitive camps per night. $12.00 for electrical hook ups. Water, wood, ice and showers will be furnished at no charge. A pot luck dinner Saturday night. Everyone bring a dish. Trail rides are availiable.

Location: The site is off Ashville Highway (CR-146) Coming from the East, CR-146 is about halfway between Quitman, GA and I-10 exit 141 via US-221. Coming from the West, CR-146 can be reached by going east on US-90 from the Monticello Courthouse for about ½ mile. See website for map.

April 7-10, 2005: 3rd Annual Little Niangua Mountain Man Festival
Location: 15 miles northwest of Camdenton, Mo, on the Little Niangua River at the Lake of the Ozarks
Mountain men and traders capture the days of the 1840’s as they dress in their 19th century attire and live in genuine tee-pees and canvas tents during the rendezvous.
You can experience a segment of living American history at its very best as these mountain men compete in black powder shoots, tomahawk and knife throwing contests, fire starting and tall tale telling. The festival will feature an anvil shoot on Saturday and Sunday. Primitive and Modern Camps will be separate. Primitive Camp fee is $15.00, firewood, water, and modern bath facilities are provided. With prior approval, demonstrations may have camp fees waived. This fee allows one 6-point blanket for trading items. Traders Fee is $50.00, fee included camp fee and will be reinvested with the traders for prizes awarded. See website for more details.

April 16-17, 2005: 27th Annual Old Greenville Rendezvous
Location: Old Greenville Camp Grounds, Highway 67 N., Greenville, MO 63944
Event Detail: This has been going on for about 17 years now. It sits in the middle of an old historical site with modern and primitive sites available, book early if you want a camper park place, (around January or February). Good sized rendez-vous. Traders encouraged. Aggregate shoot. Men, women and youth divisions for shoot, also a trade gun shoot and primitive bow shoot. Many good prizes. They try to see everyone gets a prize.
Water and showerhouses available. All animals on a leash. Public has free admission from friday night through close on sunday. Can set up anytime after noon on the thursday before the rendez-vous and no vehicles in the primitive area after 8 a.m. saturday.
All pre-1840 period. May shoot in modern clothing with an additional charge. All primitive campers must display primitive dress and keep all "modern" equipment cover and out of sight at all times. Dog soldiers on duty 24 hours.

Event Detail: The 2005 GNAR Market Fair & Rifle Frolic will be held April 21 through April 24 at our new location at Gobbler Knob, Newville, PA, only about 28 miles northeast of our previous site (see website map).
This event will be the same quality 18th Century Market Fair & Rifle Frolic as our 2004 event, with the same rules regarding period correctness. Period (pre-1840) clothing, lodging and accoutrements for sutlers and campers will be required at all times during the dates above.
