Aug 2-3: 31st Annual Coon n Crockett Black Powder Match and Rendezvous
Location: East Grand Forks Rod and Gun Club, North of East Grand Forks, MN 58203
Event Detail: Located at the EGF Rod & Gun Club range 9 miles north of East Grand Forks, MN on highway 220 and 3 miles west. Two days of shooting fun. Designated primitive & modern camping spaces available in a heavily wooded area at the range. Wood & water are provided.

Aug 2-9: Rocky Mountain College Rendezvous
Location: Pike National Forest, Lost Park off US 285, Near the Town of Jefferson, CO 80107
Event Detail: Early Setup Aug 1, Pilgrims and Hivernauts Welcome, this is a teaching Rendezvous, come and learn about the North American Fur Trade Classes Knots and Lashings, Cherokee Baskets, Loomless Beading, Cherokee Women, Cradleboards, American Indian Leaders, Primitive Archery of Plains and Woodland Indians, Indian Training Bows ages 8 to 12, History of Tartan, Beginning Quillwork, Quill Wrapping, Flute Toot Adults, Do You Have a “Housewife”, 18th Century Textiles, 18th Century Clothing, Flintlock 101, Muzzle Loading Clinic, Shooting Fundamentals, Working with Sinew, Sewing a Tear Shirt, Side Seam Moccasins, Feathers and the Law Camp Wide Events Story Telling Contest, Cooking Contest, Best Dressed Contest, Naming Ceremony, Council Fire Separate Camps Modern, Handicap, Short and Long Term Primitive, and Rowdy Range State Primitive Shoot, Kids Shoot, 4 guns given away to kids. Aug 8-10: 5th Annual Benton - Fremont Te Tonka Ha Days
Location: Hole-in-the-Mountain Park, Lake Benton, MN 56149
Event Detail: Members of the Brookings Muzzleloaders Club & the Lake Benton Historical Society have jointly set up areas for camping, shooting, hawk and knife events. Traders are on the grounds as well as food vendors. Shooting events occur all weekend as do hawk and knife throws. Entertainment is presented throughout the weekend also. Hole-in-the-Mountain Park has shower facilities & areas for camping of all sorts, including an area for tin-tipi parking.

Aug 9-10: Pike River Rendezvous
Location: Simmons Island, 50th Street & the Lakefront, Kenosha, WI 53140
Event Detail: Step back in time to 1800s Wisconsin when you visit the Pike River Rendezvous, a free event on the lakefront of Lake Michigan in Kenosha, Wisconsin. See traditional tents and tipis. Enjoy live entertainment along with corn grinding, tomahawk throwing and other exhibitions. Great food available at the Rendezvous. Across the harbor, visit the U.S. Cellular Days of Discovery Maritime Festival from August 7-10 and experience Great Lakes maritime history, as historic sailing vessels visit Kenosha in Southeastern Wisconsin.

Aug 29-31: 12th Annual Nauvoo Grape Festival Rendezvous
Location: Nauvoo State Park, Nauvoo, IL 62354
Event Detail: All Traders & family camps welcome. Camp & dress pre-1840. Water and firewood available. Activities include hawk & knife throw, kids' games, womens' games, and bow shoot.

August 22-24: 16th Annual Bear River Rendezvous
Location: Bear River State Park, Exit 6, SW corner of Wyoming, Evanston, WY 82930
Event Detail: Pre-1840 dress, no ground fires, primitive camping & Teepee area, firewood & water on site but bring camp stove for cooking due to drought conditions; candle lanterns are okay. Pre-registration Aug 8. Trader spot $20; after Aug 8 - $25; Camp spot $20. After Aug 8 - $25. Trader/Camp spot $35; after Aug 8- $40. Earliest setup date Wed, Aug 20- 8a. Latest check-out date Wed, Aug 27- 12 noon. This is a fun laid back family Rendezvous. Saturday no in-lines please. Paper shoot/Primitive shoot pistol req. Kids shoot/Hawk and Knife/Mt Man Trail/lots of kids games. Cannon shoot/demo and candy cannon/plus Raffle that night. Sunday Fun shoot.

Aug 26-Sep 2: 8th Annual 2003 Living History Rendezvous
Location: Outside of Angel Fire, NM 87710
Event Detail: This is a great rendezvous that has been getting better every year. Good traders, good shoots, good people. Their will be muzzle loading rifle and pistol shoots, some cartridge shoots, knife and 'hawk, archery, horse games, womens games, kid's walks, military demonstrations, cannon wars, open western gun fights for old west re-enactors only, story telling, living history demonstrations, Friday and Sat night barn dance, and a full costume parrade followed by a pancake breackfast on Sunday. All re-enactors are welcome. There will be camps for Celtic, renaissance, middle ages, Indian, fur trade, old west, military, horse, tin tepee. As many styles as there are participants- the more folks the more fun. Trade goods must be pre 1890 up until the begining of time. Fees, family cost $40, audult is $25, junior 15 and under is $15, full fledged trader is $15 plus prize valued at $35 or $35 of traders bucks, blanket traders $10 plus prize valued at $15.
