August 2-3: 49th Annual Old Timer's Shoot
Location: Dantryville, OH
Event Detail: Black powder, patch and round ball only. AMS matches shot in sequence - no make-ups. Sat. matches 1 thru 11; Sun. matches 12 thru 18. We will have a band Sat. night and are taking donations for same. Ed Myers will be selling his new book and holding a book signing.

August 2-8: White Oak Rendezvous and Festival
Location: 1 mile north of Deer River on Hwy 6, between Bemidji and Grand Rapids, 33155 State Hwy 6, Deer River, MN, 56636
Event Detail: 16th Annual White Oak Rendezvous. Pre-1840's. Early set up for participants begins Monday August 2nd. Open to public August 6,7, and 8. (Always first full weekend in August)Replica 1798 Fur Post on a permanent site. Demonstrations, work shops, story telling, music, black powder range, archery, tomahawk and knife throwing competitions throughout the week. Activities for participants include cribbage tournament, formal dinner in our colonial hall(reservations needed), and Saturday night dance.
Large grassy meadows for period camping. Blanket traders/Family Camp $45 for the week. Merchant Traders/Period Food Vendors $75 for week. Public camping available on premises. Choice of wooded camp ground ($12/night)or open grassy meadow ($7/night). All camping fees include wood, water, and clean bathrooms. Showers only a short distance from site as well as a public beach.

August 7-8: 32nd Annual C'nC Black Powder Match and Rendezvous
Location: East Grand Forks, MN
Event Detail: Located at the EGF Rod & Gun Club range 9 miles north of East Grand Forks, MN on highway 220 and 3 miles west. Two days of shooting fun. Designated primitive and modern camping spaces available in a heavily wooded area at the range. Wood, water, and hooters are provided. Paper shoots (25, 50, 100 yards), Men, Women, Junior, Sub-Junior (Percussion and Flintlock, Rifle and Pistol), Shotgun Shoots (Muzzle Loading and BP Shotshell, 10 yard - 15 birds), Novelty Shoots, Poker Shoot, Partner Shoot, Squirrel Rifle (.40 caliber and under), Breechloading BP Rifle Shoots (100 yard cross sticks and 275 yard cross sticks), Tomahawk and Knife Throw, 100 yard and 200 yard gongs, 25 yard to 100 yard silhouette fun shoot, five Person Stake Shoot (last event Sunday), Children's Games.

August 7-14: Rocky Mtn. College Rendezvous 2004
Location: Pike National Forest, S.E. of U.S. Highway 285, Near Jefferson, CO, 80440
Event Detail: This event is a Teaching Rendezvous. Classes covering the many aspects of the Fur Trade Era will be scheduled throughout the entire week of Rendezvous. All Classes are offered free of charge though some classes (those that are crafting classes) may have a small fee to cover actual cost of materials.
Events include: Kid's Shoot (4 rifles to be given away as prizes), Story Telling Contest, Worship Service (circuit ridin' style!), State Primitive Shoot, Story Telling Contest, Council Fire, Trader's Round Robin & more!
For Traders: Pre-Registered Traders will be allowed early setup on Friday, August 6. Contact Duke "Smoke Talker" Paulsen for complete Trader's Packet & Camp Handbook Advertising info. Flyer & Trader Packet can be sent via E-Mail if you are able to receive & open .doc type files with M/S Word, Office or equal program.
Camp Fees: Camping only, $25.00 per adult & kids under 18 are free. Traders are $45.00 (including 1 adult camper), additional Adult campers are $25.00 each, kids under 18 are free.
Day visitors: $5.00 all-day admission per Adult, kids under 18 are admitted free. Areas will be set aside for Modern (tin-tipi) camping, Short-Term Primitive & Long-Term Primitive camping. On-site Hooters & water. Because the past few years have expeirenced some level of fire danger, please be prepared for possible Fire Ban (including the use of Coleman-style or propane gas stoves for cooking).

August 13-15: 15th Annual Shootout at Saddle Butte
Location: near Shedd, OR
Event Detail: The Shootout at Saddle Butte is held at the Albany Rifle and Pistol Club about 70 miles South of Portland. Some camping and RV parking is available on site. 10 Stages, Team Match, Side Matches (Friday 1:00 – 7:00), Door Prize Drawing. Registration limited to the first 120 shooters. On-site registration may not be available. No alcohol is allowed on the ARPC range. There is a convenience store in Shedd, 2-1/2 miles away. Mandatory Shooters Meeting 8:30 am Saturday, Shooting starts at 9:00 am Saturday and Sunday. No Exit at Saddle Butte. DIRECTIONS: From the North take exit 228 at Hwy 34, turn east 1/2 mile then turn south at flashing yellow light. Go 5 miles, turn right on Saddle Butte Rd. and follow signs to ARPC. From the South, take exit 216 and go west to Halsey, turn north on Hwy 99E to Shedd, then east 2˝ miles on Boston Mill Dr. to ARPC.

Event Detail: Family event, 5 Rifles and One Pistol will be given as prizes. Don't miss this fun filled event. Stew pot Saturday Night. Hawk Throws Friday and Saturday, $200.00 in cash prizes.
