Event Detail: Pre-1840 rondy in the beautiful coast range of Oregon. Easily accessible trailwalks for rifle, pistol, trade gun, primitive archery, knife and hawk, Seneca run, and novelty shoots. August 5-7, 2005: Pike River Rendezvous
Location: Simmons Island, 5001 Simmons Island Drive, Kenosha, WI 53140
Event Detail: Experience the life of fur trappers and traders in 1800s Wisconsin when you visit the Pike River Rendezvous in Kenosha, Wisconsin. Enjoy fun and educational exhibits and activities, including traditional tent and tipi camping, fur trade era clothing, historic trade goods, traditional arts and crafts, tomahawk throwing, horse and wagon rides, primitive archery, corn grinding and a travelers inn. Bring the kids. Pike River Rendezvous will provide lots of fun for children, including games and hands-on activities. Bring your appetite. Something tasty is always cooking at the Pike River Rendezvous. August 6-7, 2005: 33nd Annual C'nC Black Powder Match and Rendezvous
Location: East Grand Forks, MN
Event Detail: Located at the EGF Rod & Gun Club range 9 miles north of East Grand Forks, MN on highway 220 and 3 miles west. Two days of shooting fun. Designated primitive and modern camping spaces available in a heavily wooded area at the range. Wood, water, and hooters are provided. EVENTS: Paper shoots (25, 50, 100 yards) Men, Women, Junior, Sub-Junior (Percussion and Flintlock, Rifle and Pistol); Shotgun Shoots (Muzzle Loading and BP Shotshell, 10 yard - 15 birds); Novelty Shoots, Poker Shoot, Partner Shoot, Squirrel Rifle (.40 caliber and under), Breechloading BP Rifle Shoots (100 yard cross sticks and 275 yard cross sticks), Tomahawk and Knife Throw, 100 yard and 200 yard gongs, 25 yard to 100 yard silhouette fun shoot , Five Person Stake Shoot (last event Sunday), Children's Games. August 20-21, 2005: THE BATTLE OF CAMDEN 225th ANNIVERSARY
Location: Historic Camden Revolutionary War Site in Camden, SC
Event Detail: Approximately 1,500 re-enactors and living history interpreters celebrate the 225th anniversary of the Revolution's worst Patriot defeat: The Battle of Camden, fought August 16, 1780. Two battles Saturday only; 11:00am battle depicts the night skirmish and the 3:00pm battle, the dawn battle. Sunday, living history programs include skits of events surrounding the battle-punnishing patriots, recreation of Masonic funeral of Patriot hero Baron Johann de Kalb. Ongoing camp life, 18th century crafts, kid's activities, Sutlers Row, guided tours of battlefield and viewings of a documentary on the battle.
