December 3-4,2005: AN OLD FASHIONED CHRISTMAS
Location: Old Bedford Village, Bedford, PA
Event Detail: Candlelit village, live seasonal music, hot cider in tavern. Horse and buggy rides. 5pm to 9pm. Old Bedford Village, a private not-for-profit historical site in Bedford, Pa is a collection of over 40 reproduction and authentic log, stone and frame buildings moved to the site from all over Bedford County. Each building boasts a collection of unique artifacts that tell the story of early American life in Bedford County and Pennsylvania from 1750 to 1900.

December 10-11,2005: A CHRISTMAS CELEBRATION

Event Detail: A continuation of this popular event with live music, carols in the Village church and period clothed re enactors to put you in the holiday mood.

Revolutionary Copper Kettle
Patterned after an original in the Museum of the Fur Trade, this unique copper kettle has a ring on the lid for lifting and iron socket handle so the lid can be used as a skillet, and an iron bail for hanging or handling the entire pot. Handmade of copper with a heavy tin lining. These kettles date from approximately 1760 on.
