Jan 16-19: Anasazi Mountain Men Winter Rendezvous

Event Detail: Fantastic Winter Rendezvous (No Snow)- St George weather.... Great Shooting, Archery, Knife & Hawk Events. Primitive Traders only. Period of dress - Pre-1840. Dry Camp, Some Firewood available, Primitive & Tin-Tee-Pee areas, Horse Camp.

Jan 17-24: Alafia River Rendezvous
Location: Homeland, FL
Event Detail: A pre-1840 living history encampment presented by The Florida Frontiersmen. Participants/re-enactors set up and live in camps portraying and demonstrating life skills of various Early American cultures, i.e. British, Irish, Scottish, Spanish and Native American. At last years gathering, over 1000 lodges were set up housing well over 1600 people. Traders Row was host to well over 100 traders. If yer planning on joining us, best you register so we know yer coming. Registration starts September 1, 2003 and ends December 15th. It's just $30 per camper, 18 and over. Under 18, free with adults. (If you wait and pay at the gate it will cost you $35.) Participants can set up early, starting on Jan. 14th, for an extra fee. Water is provided. Firewood is available to purchase. NO PETS allowed.

Jan 31-Feb 1: 9th Annual Fort Dade Mountain Man Rendezvous
Location: Withlacoochee River Park, 12449 Withlacoochee Blvd, Dade City, FL 33525
Event Detail: Open for campers & tradersJan 26. NO trade fees. All trade goods shall be original or reproductions of pre-1840's items. No plastic, colored, or clear trapes, aluminum poles, or any set-up detracting from the pre-1840's re-enactment theme will be allowed. All traders must be camping participants. All trading shall take place within the primitive camp area. DRESS CODE pre 1840's. Pie, chile, spitting, foot race, tug-a-roap, fry pan toss & much more will be happing throughout the 3 day event. PUBLIC WELCOME. Come camp with us on the beautiful Withlacoochee River in Dade City, Florida. This event is sponsored by Pasco County Parks & Recreation and Osceola Promotions.

Jan 31-Feb 1: 5th Kissimmee Slough Shootout and Rendezvous
Location: Seminole Big Cypress Reservation, I-75 to Exit 49, then 17 miles north
Event Detail: Seminole War battle reenactments, Seminole stomp dancing, archery, plus traditional Seminole food and storytelling, Seminole & pioneer artisans at work throughout the day. 9-5, $6 adults, $4 seniors & students, under 6 free (includes admission to Ah-Tah-Thi-Ki Museum.
