Event Detail: Come try your hand at Mammoth Hunting! This 18th Annual Event will feature atlatl, primitive bow and tomahawk throwing competitions. Stationary and moving targets will test the skills of experts and novices alike. Set-up is on Friday, competition is on Saturday and Sunday.

Location: 301 Marina Drive Grand Lake, Colorado 80447
Event Detail: Grand Lake, Colorado, At the foot of Rocky Mountain National Park, thousands of tourists daily, set up on Wednesday the 19th and Thursday the 20th, Living history presentations, trad tents, hawk throwing and story telling. Dress in the native costumes of the period. Come and have fun. Space is limited and early reserves will get first choice.

July 28,29,30, 2006: Sierra Madre Muzzleloader's Rendezvous
Location: Encampment Museum, Encampment, park Encampment, Wyoming 82325
Event Detail: The Sierra Madre Muzzleloaders will be holding their 26th annual Rendezvous and Blackpowder Shoot on July 28th, 29th, and 30th 2006 at Encampment, Wyoming. Lots of beautiful spots are available for both primitive and modern camping - free of charge. Drinking water, firewood and toilet facilities are on site.
Shooting fees are $20.00 for a single person, and $30.00 for a family. Shooting events, as well as hawk and knife throwing, are for all ages. Lots of other entertaining activities such as primitive fire starting and the frying pan throw are also planned. Everyone is invited to throw tomahawks for $200.00 in prizes on Friday and Saturday starting at 3 pm. A chance for everyone to participate in or just look at a truly historic event. Sights, smells and noises that haven’t been around for over 150 years, all taking place in the beautiful Encampment River valley.
