May 13-15, 2005: Smokey Hills Free Trappers Annual Roundevous
Location: Just off of I-70 exit 300, Junction City, KS 66441
Event Detail: Our Camp site is located just off of exit 300 on I-70. Signs will be posted. we will also be having an evening feed for all registered shooters or campers. Our special event this year will be a mountain man rodeo. You gotta see it. I hope to see your there.

Location: Bayard,NE
Early Set Up on Thursday. Beg, Borrow, or Steal your husbands camp! Too difficult to set up, you get it there, we'll help you. Leave him home to babysit. Us girls are going to have a slumber party!! The idea is to learn new skills, sharpen the old ones Catch up on projects, start new ones. And of course to relax, make friends, and have fun. Come test your skills at: Shooting, Hawk Throwing, Knife Throwing, Dutch Oven Cooking Potluck supper Saturday evening. Toilets, Firewood, Well Water Provided. Camp fees - Free Choice Donation,

Location: Ottawa Municipal Campsite, 411 Corkstown Road, Nepean, Ontario
Event Detail: Native Singing, Drumming, and Dancing, Native Arts and Crafts, Native Foods. Gates Open - Friday 4:00 pm, Saturday & Sunday 9:00 am. Admission (includes parking): FREE Pow Wow Fri.toSun. for Seniors/Elders and children (0-12 yrs.) Friday: $5.00; $3.00 (13-17 yrs. old); Saturday/Sunday:$10.00; $6.00 (13-17 yrs. old). Location: Black Smiths Fork Canyon, Left hand fork of Black Smith Fork Canyon, East of Hyrum, UT 84319
Event Detail: The Old Ephraim Mountain Men Club presents the 30th anniversary of the 2005 Cache Valley Rendezvous. A re-enactment of the Mountain Man era of 1825-1840. 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Fee: $1.00 per person, $5.00 per family. There will be many activities going on for men, women, and kids. Black powder rifle target shoots and the infamous 4-man situation shoot, put on by the Four Winds Free Trappers. Competitions in knife and hawk throwing, primitive archery, primitive dress, primitive camp, dutch oven cooking contest, kid games, kid and adult candy canon, noise cannons and drums.

Revolutionary Copper Kettle
Patterned after an original in the Museum of the Fur Trade, this unique copper kettle has a ring on the lid for lifting and iron socket handle so the lid can be used as a skillet, and an iron bail for hanging or handling the entire pot. Handmade of copper with a heavy tin lining. These kettles date from approximately 1760 on.
