Event Detail: This one day event includes native demostrations of dance flute playing, bead work, drum making & various other activities.

Oct 5-6: Trappers of Starved Rock Annual Rendezvous & Fall Shoot
Location: Sioux Passage County Park, Old Jamestown and Vaile Road, St. Louis County, MO

Event Detail: Plenty of space for camping & setting up to demonstrate. To encourage all artisans of this time period (1750-1840) there is no camping fee, plenty of parking, modern restrooms & water and some firewood is provided. On Saturday night we have a pig roast and large bonfire for the entire camp. Pets are welcome and must be on a leash. The camping area is located in a natural setting on the banks of the Missouri River. It has quite a bit of historical significance as the park is named after the Sioux Indians. They had visited there to sign a treaty in 1811. Lewis and Clark also mention the area in their journals (Pelican Point). The camp opens at 8am Thursday Oct 2, closing Monday, Oct 6 at 4pm. Oct 11-14: Wild West Revisited
Location: Pegasus Ranch, 4137 Golden Gardens, Tooele, Utah 84074
Event Detail: Pegasus Ranch is located in Granstville, Utah, near Tooele. Presented by Intermountain K-9 Search and Rescue and Mounted Patrol. The period is pre-1890. Oct 12-18: 11th Annual New York State Muzzleloaders Association Primitive Rendezvous & Hunt
Location: Ohio Recreation Field & Range, Ohio, NY
Event Details: Saturday night we will be dining at the Seventh Lake House, en masse, en garb. Anyone wishing to go, please indicate this on your registration form (available online). This rendezvous is 100% primitive, and only people dressed in period clothing, and using period tents will be allowed in. If you don't camp primitive, you can come visit us on Sunday, Oct 13. The visitation day will involve shooting demonstrations, and a few other promotional activities. The Town of Ohio Recreation Field & Range is located on Nellis Road, just off of New York State Route 8. It's approximately 7 miles north of Cold Brook, NY in the beautiful Adirondack foothills.

Oct 19-20:  The Ohio Valley Eastern Woodland Indian Seminar
Location: Pricketts Fork State Park, RR 3 Box 407, Fairmont, WV 26554
Event Details: Pricketts Fort State Park is a day-use historical and recreational park, located just north of Fairmont, West Virginia, two miles off I-79 at Exit 139. The original fort was built at the confluence of Pricketts Creek and the Monongahela River in 1774. Both the reconstructed fort and the Prickett House are open for public tours from mid-Apr to Nov. 1, with a living history style interpretation. Visitors enjoy seeing costumed artisans at work weaving, blacksmithing, cooking, and building muzzleloader firearms.

Speakers will focus upon the cultural, social and warfare tactics of the native tribes of the upper Ohio Valley.

Event Details: Pre-1840 encampment at all times please. Shoots all weekend. Camp feast on Saturday night, please bring a covered dish. Free wood and water. !0 dollar camp fee. Pumpkin carving and trick-or-treat for the kids.

Oct 31-Nov 3: Coalition of Historical Trekkers, Southeastern Territorial Gathering
Location: Talton Woods, Georgia, Near Amicola Falls
Event Detail: This event has all that a frontiersman could ask for: Fishing, shooting, hiking, swimming, even gold panning. $25 camp fee, $30 for non-COHT. members; $10 shooting fee. All trade goods must be period correct & in period containers. This is a primitive camp. Upper area is for tent sites & traders. Lower site for pack-ins that wish a more primitive setting. People wishing to use tin tee-pees may set up in the parking area. No services available. Fire wood provided, The spring water is drinkable, but be safe, filter, boil or bring your own. Site is set in the north Ga. hills close to Amacola falls. Open grassy fields bordered by trees a lake & a trout stream. Events: Trail walk, Seneca Run, Games for the kids, Butcher knife throw, fishing contest using only primitive gear, skills classes, frying pan toss, horse shoes, Saturday night frontier Governor's dance.
