Alan Neubauer (Hoot Al) is a Journeyman Traditionalist Gunbuilder who builds antique blackpowder rifles and pistols in an effort to keep the Spirit of the Traditionalist Gunmaker alive. The vintage of the guns are from 1730 to 1830, and are representative of several different schools of gunsmith. His favorite rifles to make are the Lancaster Pennsylvania schooled and an occasional "Hogs" Southern Mountain rifles.
Allen Martin, originally of Lancaster County, Pa, is fast becoming a well known maker of fine Pennsylvania Flintlock rifles. Since 1989, Allen has been building historically accurate interpretive reproductions from the 1760 to 1820 period.
