Join us in Honoring our Veterans at the Gissiwas Creek Pow Wow on May 27-28, 2017 in Marion, Michigan. Memorial Day Weekend is a perfect time to remember all our vets, and the Gissiwas Creek Powwow is a great way to do it. Admission is free, so come enjoy Native dancing, singing, drumming, arts and crafts and culture with the entire family. The Gissiwas Creek Pow Wow is an outdoor celebration with limited seating, so be sure to bring your lawn chairs or a blanket to sit on. NOTE: This is the last year this event will be held.

At our Gissiwas Creek Pow Wow we will also have kids crafts which include an elder teaching them about the Native American Culture through art. They will learn about the 4 Colors, the Give Away, the drum, the Tobacco and the Medicine Pouch. Spectators will learn this as well.
