Experience the 1st Annual Indian National Finals Powwow on November 9-11, 2016 at the Cashman Center in Las Vegas, Nevada. For the first time ever, we will be crowning ‘World Champions” of powwow in Las Vegas. This extraordinary event will be held in conjunction with the Indian National Finals Rodeo (INFR). For over 40 years, the Indian National Finals (INFR) has crowned “World Champions” in the rodeo circuit. Indian National Finals Powwow School Days will take place on Wednesday; the powwow and competition will follow on Thursday and Friday.

The planning of INFP was started two years ago by its commissioner, Frank White Calfe (ND). In that time, we have done research, consulted with notable powwow dancers, head staff and talked with major powwows across the country including The Gathering of Nations and Denver March Powwow. We have collected valuable information that has answered a couple of important questions. What will attract powwow people? And most of all, how do we gain the support of Tribal Communities across the United States and Canada.

Indian National Finals Powwow Youth Day: November 9, 2016
On behalf of the Indian National Finals Powwow (INFP), we are excited to reach out to the students of the Las Vegas area schools and extend our invitation to the 1st Annual INFP Native American Youth Day at Cashman Center. Youth Day will take place the day before the 2-day powwow. There have been many misconceptions about Native American culture in today’s society. The Indian National Finals Powwow (INFP) has put a special day aside for education. It is important for our future generations to grow together with understanding because with understanding, comes acceptance. So to accommodate these thoughts, we have put together a program filled with Native American dance demonstrations, story-telling, motivational speakers and much more.

The Indian National Finals Powwow Youth Day is free and open to the public. We will have two showtimes available on Wednesday. The morning show will begin at 10 pm and the afternoon show will start at noon. There will also be vendors selling various Native American arts and crafts. Seating is on a first-come first-serve basis. Cashman Center is ideal for school bus dropoff and parking.
