2018 Mississippi Stands Civil War Reenactment
Relive Civil War in Mississippi at Mississippi Stands Civil War Reenactment on February 22-25, 2018 at Brice’s Cross Roads National Battlefield Site five miles west of Baldwyn, Mississippi. The 1st Division Southern Re-enactors Association is pleased to announce Mississippi Stands Civil War Reenactment which will feature some of the vital Historic Battles for the control of Mississippi and border states. These Battles will take place on nearly 2000 acres of Historic Battlefield.

The event, called Mississippi Stands, will include two days of fighting, demonstrations of camp life, civilian town and sutlers. School children will experience life in the 1860’s on Friday. Hosted by 1st Division Southern Re-enactors Association and the First Federal Division, battles will be fought on Saturday and Sunday on the 1500 acre Brice’s Crossroads National Battlefield located five miles west of Baldwyn.
Mississippi Stands Civil War Reenactment: Neeley’s Roughnecks
Visitors are invited to view battles at 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday at 1 p.m. Church services will be held in camp at 9 a.m. on Sunday.
Sutler row, a civilian camp, sewing demonstrations, food vendors, and authors will be available from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday. A Blue-Gray Civilian town will depict life in the 1860’s on the home front.
Visitors can view the re-enactments of the battles, learn about civilian and home life in the Civilian Town and explore the sutler’s tents on Sutler row both days.
Admission:
Admission is $5 each with a cap for a family of $25, and children under seven years are free.
Public Hours:
Camps open at 7:00 a.m. and close at 5:00 p.m. for the public.
All times and battles are subject to change.
Battles: There will be both campaign style battles along with spectator battles.
Camps: There will be mainstream, campaign and civilian camps for everyone.

Mississippi’s Final stands Interpretive Center
The Interpretive Center will be open Friday-Sunday, 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. The center includes interpretation of the 1500 acre battlefield at Brice’s Crossroads, and the battle of Tupelo/Harrisburg through interpretive and interactive exhibits, two films and a flag exhibit as well as a bookstore and gift shop.
Mississippi Stands Tentative Schedule
Wednesday: Registration opens at 12:00 p.m.
Thursday: Afternoon and overnight tactical for those wishing to participate. All Branches. Non-spectator.
Friday: Overnight tactical ends with Battle of Iuka at 9:30 a.m. for local schools kids.
Saturday: 9:00 a.m. Raid on Ripley, 2:00 p.m. Battle of Corinth and 6:30 p.m. night fire.
Sunday: 1:00 p.m. Battle of Harrisburg.

There will be a $50.00 Sutler fee for all Sutlers.
