2019 Native American Trade Feast at Miwok Park

Join us at the Native American Trade Feast at Miwok Park on September 14, 2019 at Miwok Park in Novato, Caliornia celebrating the Museum’s 52nd year. The Native American Trade Feast features a Native Drum Group, California Indian dancers, Aztec Dancers, Hula Manu O’o Dancers, Hoop Dancers, Native American Fry Bread, Miwok songs and stories, basketry demonstrations, regalia making, shell bead drilling, children activities, book sales, tours of the Museum, Native artists including former museum exhibitor, Becky Olvera Schultz and much more.

2019 Performers
Performing at the Trade Feast will be Red Voice Drum, Unole Drum, California Indian Dancers, Kalpulli Anahuak Aztec Dancers, Hula Manu O’o Dancers and Hoop Dancer Eddie Madril. There will be Miwok songs and stories, basketry demonstrations, regalia making, shell bead drilling, children activities, book sales and tours of the Museum.

About the Marin Museum of the American Indian
Located in Marin County and situated on a site of an actual Miwok Village, the Museum is dedicated to providing the people of Northern California with programs and exhibits that deepen understanding and appreciation of Native American cultures. The Museum gallery is home to a permanent collection of exhibits, as well as displaying new and rotating exhibits of Native American cultures. We provide core programming classes that explore the history and culture of Native Americans in California and other regions in Marin and beyond. The Marin Museum of the American Indian and and surrounding park are a gathering place year-round for lectures, poetry readings, workshops, and hands-on activities for all ages.
