2019 Shelly Creek Rendezvous

Join us at the 39th Annual Shelley Creek Rendezvous on May 24-27, 2019 at the Dee Knoch Ranch near Fall River Mills, California. There’s no better way to celebrate the Memorial Day Weekend than at the pre-1840s fur trade era Pit River Pioneers Shelly Creek Rendezvous. Early campers are welcome on Thursday. Note: This is a dry camp, so bring water.

The Shelly Creek Rendezvous is a benefit shoot for the Fort Crook Museum, offering buckskinner fun and contests for all ages, from the pistol and rifle trails to many kid’ activities.

Directions: Located Northeast of McArther/Fall River, California. From Burney go East on 299 to Fall River Mills. Turn right at Hotel on Main Street. Turn left on Dee Knoch Road and then Right on Shelly Creek. Watch for signs in Fall River or McArthur to Dee Knoch Road to the Shelly Creek Rendezvous camp site. BRIDGE OUT from south, on Hwy 89 4 miles north of hat creek turn east on Cassel Road 3 miles at the Y turn right to the Detour sign, continue on Dee Knoch Road 1 mile to green gate on LH side.

About the Fort Crook Museum
Fort Crook was established on July 1, 1857, to protect travellers on the Shasta – Yreka Road and the Lockhart Ferries. The fort consisted of 25 – 30 log buildings enclosed by a pine-pole stockade 12 feet high. It was located on the Fall River Valley about 7 miles north of the current museum grounds. The Fort Crook Historical Society was founded in 1934. The Fort Crook Museum was built in 1962 – 65 entirely by generous donations by members of the Fort Crook Historical Society.

Pre registration Family $30 single $20 Cannon $5 to Pit River Pioneers, P.O. Box 1645, Burney, CA 96013 must be received by May 11 th. Add $5 if registering at site.
