Their ‘parent’ organization is Little Earth of United Tribes\, the only Native-preference urban housing community in the nation. Little Earth was founded in 1973 to create affordable housing in South Minneapolis. As the first urban housing complex with Native preference\, Little Earth serves as a national model\, at the forefront of American Indian migration into urban areas. Today\, Little Earth is comprised of four organizations with a unified management structure. Each organization has a separate function\, however all work cooperatively to build our community and create opportunities for Indian people to achieve self-determination. \nMark your calendar today so you don’t miss the next Little Earth Mothers Day Powwow on Saturday of Mothers’s Day weekend in Minneapolis\, Minnesota. \n \nTags: Little Earth Mothers Day Powwow\, Little Earth Mothers Day Pow Wow\, Minnesota Powwow\, Minnesota Powwow \nView Other Minnesota Powwows
