Native Americans from across the United States gather to compete in dance and drum competitions. Primitive skill educators demonstrate fire making\, basket weaving\, hide tanning\, cooking and more. Native arts and crafts are available for purchase. \n\nStone Mountain Native American Festival & Pow Wow\nBring your family to experience the energy\, color and culture of the largest Native American gathering in Georgia. Free to Mountain Members\, the four-day Stone Mountain Native American Festival & Pow Wow was named a Top 20 Event by the Southeast Tourism Society. \nEvent HoursThursday & Friday 9:00 AM – 3:00 PMSaturday 10:00 AM – 6:00 PMSunday 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM \nAdmissionRegistered dance and drum competitors are admitted to the Stone Mountain Native American Festival & Pow Wow free and may bring up to four guests free of charge. \nVisitor admission to the Indian Festival and Stone Mountan Pow Wow is free with admission to Stone Mountain Park. Or you can buy tickets at the gate for admission to the Indian Festival and Pow-Wow only for $15 + tax. Children under age three are admitted free. The Stone Mountain Native American Festival & Pow Wow is included in your all-attractions Adventure Pass ticket\, which also includes access to exciting attractions. Due to large crowds\, the Farmyard will be closed to the public during the Indian Festival. \nParking is $15. Crawl inside a tipi and other traditional native dwellings. Parents and children participate in interactive experiences such as an encampment showing the lifestyle of local and regional historic Native American cultures.\nFind that one-of-a-kind holiday gift in the artists’ marketplace\, where world-renowned Native and Native-inspired artists and crafters demonstrate their skills and offer hand-crafted items for sale.\n\nDance and Drum Competition & Pow Wow Participants:Dance and Drum competitions for the Stone Mountan Pow Wow are held Saturday in the afternoon. Cash prizes will be awarded in a large variety of categories for men\, women\, and children. Dancers and Drummers must compete both days to be eligible for prizes. Grand Entrance will begin both days at 1 p.m with dancing to follow throughout the afternoon. Dancers wishing to compete must be outfitted with proper regalia. This family-friendly festival brings together an amazing array of regional bands\, artisans\, comedians\, dancers\, poets and filmmakers to spotlight the area’s distinct artistic voice. \nPresented by the CBIHP Foundation and held at Northeastern State University\, this festival also features several children’s activity areas along with a great variety of food and drink vendors. \nVendors must complete an application and pay the fee before September 28\, 2018 to reserve vendor space. Vendor space will be issued in a first come first serve basis and at the discretion of the CBIHP board. \n2016 was the inaugural year for the Green Country Roots Festival in downtown Tahlequah. The GCR Festival attracted over 5200 people during the two-day event.  \nThe 2017 two day GCR attracted over seven thousand people.
