This event is an exciting Native American Indian festivity sponsored by the Indigenous Institute of the Americas. Santa Fe Days in the Park is a family friendly\, nonprofit event which celebrates Native American Indian culture\, heritage\, dance\, music\, arts and food. Their knowledge as Native American Artists and Native American Art is very valuable in this day of copycats\, look a likes\, etc. that violate the Arts and Crafts act. \nSanta Fe Days in the Park has developed into a premiere Native American Indian cultural event attracting visitors from the Dallas and Ft. Worth area as well as visitors from across the Nation. Among the participants are representation from many Nations and Pueblos across the Americas. This is currently one of the few events that requires proof of Tribal enrollment in a Federally or State recognized Tribes that meet the criteria for a the Indian Arts and Crafts Act of 1990. \nAdmission $2.00 per person – Free Parking \nAdmission proceeds offset the cost of this wonderful Sandy Lake Amusement Park venue and all the amenities they provide the organization. \nJoin us for this rare opportunity to learn and experience the culture of the First people on this land. \nAbout The Indigenous Institute of the Americas\nThe Indigenous Institute of the Americas is concerned with preserving the valuable knowledge of all the Indigenous people of the Americas. NAISO is working very hard to provide an amazing experience for everyone in our community and in the great lakes region! The MSU NAISO Pow Wow of Life is presented by the North American Indigenous Student Organization (NAISCO). \n\nMSU NAISO Pow Wow of Life\nThe Michigan State University North American Indigenous Student Organization Pow Wow of Life provides an opportunity for young people to learn from their elders in order to carry on the Native American traditions. Also\, the organization hopes to create an environment where Native American culture can be seen from non-American Indians to break various stereotypes. \nMany different forms of dancing will be highlighted.
