This celebration of Native culture and arts\, hosted by the Seminole Tribe of Florida\, will be held at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino. Seminole Tribal Fair & Pow Wow events will be held in the Hard Rock Live arena and outdoors in the Hooter’s parking lot located on the east side of Seminole Paradise adjacent to State Road 7 and the main entrance to the Seminole Hard Rock property. Don’t miss the dance and drum competition excitement! Over $150\,000 in cash prizes will bring the best singers and dancers from all across the country to compete. \n\nSeminole Tribal Fair & Pow Wow\nWith the two venues\, in addition to the usual lineup of Native arts\, crafts\, foods\, and music\, the Fair will host a Pow Wow dance competition open to all Native people from across the Americas. DESCRIPTION:2020 BAAITS Powwow\n\nRate This Event\n \n                                    \n                                        \n                                        \n                                        \n                                        \n                                    \nMake plans for the 9th Annual BAAITS Powwow on February 8\, 2020 at the Festival Pavilion at Fort Mason Center in Yelamu (San Francisco)\, the traditional homelands of the Ohlone peoples. Powwows are traditional\, Inter-tribal events that promote community togetherness\, healing\, and wellness. The Two-Spirit powwow is held each year to help decolonize our communities and realign with Native traditions of togetherness\, seeing strength in our differences\, and accepting all genders and sexualities. Who should attend: Everyone is welcome. This is a family-friendly\, clean and sober event. \n\nBAAITS Powwow\nOur Two-Spirit Powwow embraces Native traditions while also providing a uniquely San Francisco experience. The annual event draws our community together\, celebrating our cultures through traditional DANCE\, ARTS\, FOOD\, and an opportunity for indigenous people from every tribal nation to gather and dance at our powwow. Last year we welcomed more than 5000 Native and non-Native people to join in the event. \nDancing and singing are not the only highlights of the powwow; Native American food vendors will be in attendance. Foods that are offered range from Indian Tacos\, Tamales and Buffalo Burgers. Native artisans will be selling a variety of Native wares that many times are only sold at powwows. Vendors will be on site selling frybread\, buffalo burgers\, Native art and jewelry\, and other wares to the expected crowd of over 3\,500. The Native American Health Center will also be in attendance providing free health screenings. The one-day Yuba-Sutter Winter Pow Wow is organized by the Marysville Joint Unified School District’s American Indian Education Program and serves as a gathering place to see old friends and celebrate the culture of a diverse people. \nYuba and Sutter counties lack tribal land\, but the Yuba-Sutter Winter Pow Wow draws participants and visitors from around Northern California. The opening of the event\, Open Gourd\, will take place at 12:00 noon followed by the Grand Entry to begin the dance session beginning at 1:00 p.m. The Pow Wow will end at 6:00 p.m. Admission is free. \nThe POW WOW is full of colorful Indian Dress with lots of fun dances and drum and team dance contests.
