The annual Labor Day Weekend event is open to the public and hosts Native Americans Tribes from New England and New York. We will offer an Educational Workshop (for our teenagers and adults)\, Native American Dance Style Demonstration\, and vendors selling Native American wares\, food booth\, bake sale\, raffle tickets and a 50/50 raffle. For two exiting days\, Great Barrington\, MA will be the center of Native American art and culture where American Indians will gather for the Rock\, Rattle and Drum Pow Wow and share the richness\, diversity and beauty of their indigenous ways. \n[embedyt]https://youtu.be/mJgkO0hMgZ8?t=27m&width=540&height=333[/embedyt] \nTraditionally pow wows are gatherings that Native American people use as a place to meet\, dance\, sing\, renew\, strengthen and share their rich culture. Our Rock\, Rattle and Drum Pow Wow features authentic American Indian dancing\, drumming\, and tribal regalia. Native Americans ranging in age from toddlers to elders will dance in several different styles including fancy\, traditional\, grass and jingle dress wearing traditional and contemporary regalia. Well-loved drum groups provide vocal and rhythmic accompaniment for the dancers. \nA variety of American Indian culture is expressed through award winning vendor exhibits of arts\, crafts\, demonstrations\, music\, contemporary and traditional foods. Every year the Rock\, Rattle and Drum Pow Wow honors veterans\, and shares an indigenous perspective on sustainable living and community. Experience Intertribal dancing and dance demonstrations\, craft making\, storytelling\, arts\, crafts\, and Native foods for sale. Visitors can immerse themselves in and learn about Native American culture during the Annual MCNAA Summer Moon Pow Wow. The MCNAA Summer Moon Pow Wow is sponsored by the Massachusetts Center of Native American Awareness (MCNAA)\, a nonprofit organization consisting of volunteers from numerous tribes as well as members of the general public. They work to bring Native American culture to as many communities in Massachusetts as possible.
