Olustee Battle Reenactment - Olustee Battlefield Historic State Park - 7th US Infantry Living History Association

The 48th New York State Volunteer Infantry Regiment Reenactors was founded in 1988. It’s members work to preserve and interpret the history of the Union soldier during the American Civil War.

The 48th New York State Volunteer Infantry Regiment was one of the most distinguished regiments in the Union Army. Formed primarily in Brooklyn and New York City this regiment served the entire war before being mustered out of service in Raleigh, North Carolina.

Historical Battle Campaigns of the 48th NYSV Infantry include: Battles of Port Royal, SC, Seige and Garrison Fort Pulaski, GA, Skirmish at Coosawhatchie, SC, Battle of Fort Wagner, SC (Seen in the movie, “Glory”), Battle of Olustee, FL, Battle of Bermuda Hundred, VA, Battle of Drewry’s Bluff, VA, Battle of Cold Harbor, VA.
