More than 50 tribes will be represented from North and South America at this family-friendly event, which offers both entertainment and education.<\/p>\n<div class=\"fusion-video fusion-youtube fusion-aligncenter\" style=\"--awb-max-width:800px;--awb-max-height:492px;--awb-width:100%;\"><div class=\"video-shortcode\"><div class=\"fluid-width-video-wrapper\" style=\"padding-top:61.5%;\" ><iframe title=\"YouTube video player 1\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/a1lPMOx_3FA?wmode=transparent&autoplay=0\" width=\"800\" height=\"492\" allowfullscreen allow=\"autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture;\"><\/iframe><\/div><\/div><\/div>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: center; margin-bottom: 15px; margin-top: 5px;\">Flagler County Native American Festival<\/h3>\n<p>Flagler County Native American Festival festivities will begin each day in the Pow Wow Arena with traditional dance and a ceremony for veterans. Children will be invited to participate in the &#8220;candy dance.&#8221; There will be crafts and primitive living demonstrations on a variety of weapons, blacksmithing and flint knapping, the official term for making arrowheads.<br \/>\nVisitors can round out their experience by visiting the wild horse rescue area, pony rides and shopping at the trading booths. Food and refreshments will be available.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Public Hours:<\/strong> Saturday &amp; Sunday 10:00 a.m. &#8211; 5:00 p.m.<\/p>\n<p><strong>General admission<\/strong><br \/>\n$5.00 per Since then, he has performed at places like schools, Pow Wows, state and national parks, Walt Disney World, Universal Studios, Sea World, New Orleans Jazz &amp; Heritage Festivals and many other places around the U.S. He also been featured on many television networks such as History Channel, Travel Channel and Discovery Channel. Jim helps organize several annual events, including: Ormond Beach Native American Festival in Ormond Beach, Florida in January and the Flagler County Native American Festival in Palm Coast, Florida in February.<\/p>\n<p>Jim Sawgrass is a native Floridian and a member of the Muskogee Creek Indian Tribe. He served on the Florida Indian Council from 1991-1995. Sawgrass has been sharing his knowledge of the Southeastern Native American tribes for over 30 years.<\/p>\n<p>[su_accordion][su_spoiler title=&#8221;Deep Forest Native American Experience Programs&#8221;]\n<strong>Southeastern Encampments<\/strong><br \/>\nTake a step back into time and learn about the Southeastern Native tribes and their Culture. Learn about the Tools, weaponry, housing, and the type of clothing that was worn by Native Americans in the Southeast, also learn about the evolution of living from pre contact of settlers to the trading era of tribes and European settlers.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Woodsman Program<\/strong><br \/>\nThis education program will let you dive right into native living before European contact. This covers advanced survival skills from fire making, flint napping, and survival staffs, and it also covers Native American traditional cooking, farming techniques, and traditional southeastern cuisines.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Pow Wow Dancing<\/strong><br \/>\nThis program you will let you view a spectacular show done by Native American Dancers who perform Native Dances from all over the country. This program also dives into the explanations for each dance performed and history of each dance.
