Meet us at the Little Niangua Mountain Man Fall Rendezvous & Festival on September 20-22, 2019 at the Little Niangua Campground in Roach, Missouri. Join the Mountain men and traders as they capture the pre 1840x days, dressing in their 19th century attire and living in genuine tee-pees and canvas tents during the Niangua Mountain Man Fall Rendezvous. Experience a segment of living American history at its very best as these mountain men compete in black powder shoots, tomahawk and knife throwing contests, fire starting and tall tale telling.<\/p>\n

The Little Niangua Mountain Man Fall Rendezvous offers the chance to shop Trader’s Row for unique hand-crafted gifts, folk art and artifacts from the past. There is always an array of artisans, story tellers, gunsmiths, re-enactors and blacksmiths to guide you through a journey back in time. You will experience the sights and sounds of a real frontier rendezvous, the smell of campfires and the enchantment of walking in the footsteps of early pioneers.<\/p>\n

The goal of the Little Niangua Mountain Man Fall Rendezvous is to provide a quality living history experience. Primitive Crafts and skills demonstrations are welcome. On Friday, elementary schools are welcome to bring classes. A lifetime of history is captured in this three day event!<\/p>\n

OPEN TO THE PUBLIC – FREE ADMISSION<\/strong>
\nThursday thru Sunday: 9am to 5pm<\/strong>
\nEarly setup may begin 8am Wednesday. Vehicles allowed in camp only for off-loading & loading.
\nSchools and Visitors are Welcome!<\/p>\n

Rifle Match<\/strong>
\nOne shooter allowed with paid camp fee. Walk-on shooters $10. Aggregate shoot, hawk and knife, and fire starting contests. Open sights only. No optics or any devices attached to glasses. No in-line actions. Round ball only and no rifles over .62 cal. No re-entry. Separate Ladies and junior matches. Primitive dress encouraged, but not required. Shooting time will be Saturday: 9am – 2pm; Sunday: 9am – 11am. Prizes will be awarded on Sunday at 1pm.<\/p>\n

Competition Times<\/strong>
\nSaturday: 9:00 am to 5:00 pm and Sunday 9:00 am to 12:00 noon.
\nPrizes will be awarded Sunday at 1:00 pm.<\/p>\n

Primitive Camp<\/strong>
\nPrimitive Camp fee is $20.00, firewood, water, and modern bath facilities are provided.
\nPrimitive and Modern Camps will be separate.
\nPre-1840 accommodation and attire are required for the primitive camping and trader’s row. A traders committee will monitor authenticity and appropriateness of trade goods.<\/p>\n

Modern Tent & RV Camping is available nearby.<\/strong>
\nRV camping with Electric and Water hookup: $24\/night. Tent camping: $12\/night
\nFee Includes 2 adults and 2 children 11 and under.
\nAdditional persons: $4\/night (tent and RV)
\nWith prior approval, Little Niangua Mountain Man Fall Rendezvous demonstrations may have camp fees waived. Check with Ken at Little Niangua, 573-347-2728 for details. This fee allows one 6-point blanket for trading items.
\nVehicles will be allowed to park in the Modern Camping area if they are registered campers, and only in their designated spot.<\/p>\n

Traders<\/strong>
\nTraders Fee is $20.00 + plus a donated prize; fee includes camp fee and will be reinvested with the traders for prizes awarded.
\nCamping and Traders Fee’s include 1 shooter per camp.<\/p>\n

The Little Niangua Campground reserves the right to deny any request for vendor\/trader space at the Mountain man Festival, if request is denied, all fees will be returned.<\/p>\n

Our primitive campsites sit along the beautiful Little Niangua River, which feeds into the Lake of the Ozarks, and boast some of the best fishing you will find in Missouri. Little Niangua Campground, sponsor of Little Niangua Mountain Man Spring and Fall Rendezvous & Festival is a privately owned Sole proprietorship located at the Lake of the Ozarks in Mid Missouri. RV Camping and Tent Camping are available year round, Extended Stay Packages are available. Limited slots for hunting onsite are available on a first-come, first-serve basis only.<\/p>\n

Guided Hunting Trips here in Mid Missouri are limited to first-come, first serve. Hunting Reserves in Missouri including Fiery Fork Conservation Area, Mule Shoe Conservation Area, and Lead Mine Conservation Area, are all within a few miles of Little Niangua Campgrounds, and are part of the Missouri Department of Conservation, and Missouri State Parks.<\/p>\n
