Join us at the Comanche Peak Muzzleloaders Fall Rendezvous on October 11-13, 2019 at our club camp near Glen Rose, Texas. Period Dress required from Friday evening till Sunday noon. Vehicles allowed in camp only to load and unload gear. Loading and unloading allowed before 9:00 am Saturday morning and after 12:00 noon, on Sunday!<\/p>\n

Competitions include: Rifle, Pistol, Archery, Knife & Hawk, Fire Starting and other events, as determined by Booshway.<\/p>\n

Bring wood and water, some wood may be available onsite, but will be on a limited basis. Be prepared in case of fire ban. Usual buckinning rules apply. Donations gladly accepted to help support our Comanche Peak Muzzleloaders Fall Rendezvous.<\/p>\n

Turn East on Hwy 19 onto County Road 2330. Travel 1.4 miles to County Road 458. Turn right and travel 0.6 mils to mailbox 719 on left. Follow signs from there to the Comanche Peak Muzzleloaders Camp.<\/p>\n

About the Commanche Peak Muzzleloaders<\/strong>
\nComanche Peak Muzzleloaders rendezvous are held on the second Sunday weekends of April and October each year. We also hold monthly meetings at our camp near Glen Rose, Texas. Members gather to share information on guns, clothing, skills and accoutrements of the time period, as well as compete in some friendly competition of the rocky mountain fur trade. We also welcome reenactors who enjoy the time of Pirates, Longhunters, French and Indian War, American Revolutionary War, War of 1812 as well as Texas history. Our rendezvous are closed to the general public unless outfitted in pre-1840 clothing, camp and accouterments.<\/p>\n

The Texas Association of Buckskinners (TAB) began in the late 1970s when three friends who were interested in survivalism decided to put together a group to focus on survival skills based on the Mountain Men of the Western Fur Trade. After several decades, it is one of the oldest buckskinning groups in Texas and is still going strong, with events held the last weekend of January (Deep Winter), the third weekend in April (Spring) and the last weekend in October (Fall). New members are always welcome.<\/p>\n
