Join us for the annual MCNAA National Native American Heritage Day Pow-Wow on November 19, 2017 at Bridgewater State University Kelly Gymnasium in Bridgewater, Massachusetts. Celebrate this special day and experience Inter-tribal Dancing, Dance-style Demonstrations, Native Storytelling, Children\u2019s Craft-Making Activities and Traditional Native American Craft Demonstrations.<\/p>\n

The MCNAA National Native American Heritage Day Pow-Wow is sponsored by the Mass. Center for Native American Awareness, in partnership with BSU President’s Office, the U.S. Ethnic & Indigenous Studies Program, and the Native American Cultural Association (student group).<\/p>\n

The MCNAA National Native American Heritage Day Pow-Wow is a family friendly event, so bring everyone. Bring a lawn chair or blanket for seating!<\/p>\n

The Pow Wow is Open To The Public – Everyone is Welcomed! <\/strong><\/p>\n

MCNAA National Native American Heritage Day Pow-Wow Demonstrations & Activities<\/h3>\n

Claudia Fox Tree, professional educator, will present an interactive conversation about First Nations People (Native Americans) on identity, culture and history. Discover First Nations female role-models and their contributions to contemporary society as Native American history and culture is discussed.<\/p>\n

Jennifer Lee will give a presentation on “18th Century Northeast Native American Lifeways: Pre-contact Realities.” She will also have a large hand-made basket display made from white pine bark and ash bark.<\/p>\n
