Everyone is welcome at the 16th Annual NCGLNAC Gathering of Great Lakes Nations Pow Wow on June 8-9, 2019 at the Tri-State Gas Engine Association Grounds in Portland, Indiana. The NCGLNAC Gathering of Great Lakes Nation Pow Wow is a time of celebration of Great Lakes Native Americans (Miami, Potawatomi, Ojibwe, and Ho-Chunk to name just a few). It is an introduction to, and at the same time, reinforcement to their culture that has trended from the past and is still in effect today.<\/p>\n

The NCGLNAC Gathering of Great Lakes Nations Pow Wow is a celebration of Great Lakes Native Culture with Native drums and singers, dancers, vendors, food and storytelling. It will be a time for all to come back together, if just for the weekend. Seating is limited, so bring folding chairs and blankets to sit on.<\/p>\n

Activities for both days will include: Native American Drums, Singers and Dancers, Native American Foods and Vendors, Free Children’s Activities, Pre-1840 Re-Enactment Camp, Artisan Demonstrations, Hand Drum Contest, and Storytelling.<\/p>\n

On hand will be Native American drummers, singers, and of course dancers. Dance sessions will run Saturday 1:00 to 4:30 p.m. and 6:00 to 9:00 p.m., with Sunday’s schedule is noon until 4:00 p.m.<\/p>\n
