Join us at the 43rd Annual CTAGA Fall Rendezvous on October 18-19, 2019 at the Chisholm Trail Antique Gun Association Shooting Range in Benton, Kansas. The CTAGA Fall Rendezvous has been an institution among muzzleloaders since 1976. A festive, three-day gathering of buckskinners and other muzzle-loading enthusiasts, and their families, this event draws participants from far and near to enter shooting contests, to camp, to trade, and to enjoy the good fellowship that typify the rendezvous. The rendezvous is held at a splendid, forested site along the Arkansas River near Oxford, Kansas.<\/p>\n

Each fall since 1976, Chisholm Trail Antique Gun Association has hosted the state\u2019s largest rendezvous, a festive, three-day gathering of muzzle-loading enthusiasts to commemorate an 1830’s fur-trade rendezvous. These are family affairs, and it is customary for participants to dress in period clothing. Many also camp in the primitive style of the period.<\/p>\n

\nFriday Evening Candle Shoot
\nWilliam Tell 1 Shot (used for tie-breaker)
\nWoods Walk (rifle smoothbore and pistol)
\nNovelty Match (rifle)
\nTomahawk or Knife Throw
\nFlint & Steel Fire Starting
\nDirty Dog pistol match (Saturday afternoon only)
\nRange master decisions are final.<\/p>\n

\"CTAGA
\nAll matches go to overall score. Bring your Rifle, Pstol, Trade Gun, Tomahawk or Knife. Women will shoot with the men. Juniors must be able to handle, load and shoot off-hand by themselves. Silhouette steel targets used, all calibers allowed but 50 cal + recommended. Period dres not required.<\/p>\n

No alcohol products can be used for blanket prizes. No alcoholic beverages allowed during open range.<\/p>\n

Some electric hookups available; first come, first served. Firewood is available – but you must cut. Bring your own water.<\/p>\n

CTAGA Shooting Range <\/strong>
\nCTAGA maintains a complex of shooting ranges near Benton, KS for the use of club members. Various shooting matches for members are held at the range on most weekends. These feature a variety of competitive events in rifle, pistol, and shotgun, both muzzle-loading and breech-loading. Besides the regular member-only matches, a number of open or invitational matches and other special events are held at the range during the year as well. The Club also hosts young hunter training weekends and special orientation sessions for women. For visitors and campers, the range provides a number of RV pads with hookups.<\/p>\n
