The Battle of Selma Reenactment features living history tours for school groups, food and beverages, period clothing and souvenirs, a camp dance with a period band, sutlers with period wares, a Civil War Writer&#8217;s Forum, and battle reenactments on both Saturday and Sunday, where you can once again hear the sounds of cannon and muskets and battle the cry of the reenactors.<\/p>\n<p>[embedyt]https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=qiGtiKhzL_w&amp;width=540&amp;height=333[\/embedyt]<\/p>\n<p><strong>Battle of Selma Reenactment Schedule<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Thursday<\/strong><br \/>\nLiving History School Tours begin in conjunction with Battle of Selma Reenactment Strategic Partner Wallace Community College Selma. The 1860s come alive with hands-on instruction and period music. Only pre-selected Living History Presenters will be allowed contact with the school day attendees.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Friday<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Living History School Tours continue for the Battle of Selma Reenactment. Only pre-selected Living History Presenters will be allowed contact with the school day attendees<\/li>\n<li>Enjoy present day and 1860s style food, beverages,clothes, jewelry, toys<br \/>\nand souvenirs. Sutlers will be open so bring your Yankee money.<\/li>\n<li>7:30 pm: The ominous beauty and power of Civil War era artillery is unleashed<\/li>\n<li>8:00 pm: Join in the fun at the re-enactor&#8217;s camp dance. Hear stories about the men who fought, in this final resting place for some of the South&#8217;s most beloved sons<\/li>\n<li>Visit the sutler&#8217;s area for food, shopping and clothing reminiscent of the period<\/li>\n<li>Witness full military troop and camp inspections<\/li>\n<li>2:00 pm: The Battle of Selma Reenactment begins<\/li>\n<li>7:00 pm: Receiving line begins for Ball<br \/>\nThe Blue and Gray are in a precarious truce to enjoy an enchanted evening in one of the South&#8217;s premiere antebellum homes. Let Sturdivant Hall, period dress, etiquette and the sound of brass and string bands take you to the 1860s.
