The 33rd Annual Black Hills Powwow (He Sapa Wacipi Na Oskate) will be held on October 11-13, 2019, at the Rushmore Plaza Civic Center in Rapid City, South Dakota. We want everyone to feel welcome and to enjoy the beauty of Great Plains indigenous song and dance. This year’s event will once again present ts “Champions of the Northern Plains” singing contest paying out $33,000 in prizes (Largest Singing Prizes Payout in the history of the powwow). This year the Black Hills Powwow total prize payout will be over $100,000! For the first time, the dance contest categories will include a Men\u2019s Southern and Women\u2019s Southern Traditional category.<\/p>\n
