Experience Fort Loudoun Garrison Weekend on May 19-20, 2018 at the Fort Loudoun State Park in Vonore, Tennessee. Fort Loudoun Garrison Weekend is a free, family-friendly, living history event that features the daily lives of the men, women and children of Fort Loudoun. During Fort Loudoun Garrison Weekend watch Fort Loudoun State Historic Area come to life. Learn about life at the fort during the French & Indian War. as you view an 18th century infirmary, soldier’s barracks, the commander’s quarters, blacksmith shop, as well as a Cherokee encampment. Musket, artillery firing, and laundry demonstrations will take place throughout the day.

Hours: Activities begin at 10:00 A.M. each day and end at 5:00 P.M. on Saturday and 2:00 P.M. on Sunday.

Admission: Free.

About Fort Loudoun
Fort Loudoun is one of the earliest British fortifications on the western frontier, built in 1756. The fort was reconstructed during the Great Depression and was designated a National Historic Landmark in 1965. Fort Louton represents a fascinating period in US history.
