2020 Louderbacks Black Powder Club Rendezvous

Join us for the 42nd Annual Louderbacks Black Powder Club Rendezvous on April 9-12, 2020 near Redding, California. This will be a blanket shoot. Prize participation is optional. All prizes must be turned in at the registration table before your scorecard is given. PEE-WEE & Novice Prizes are furnished. Firearms must be of traditional open ignition design. No scopes, peep sights, shaders, fiber optics, synthetic stocks, or stainless steel allowed. Patched round ball only. Trade Guns- Must be smoothbore flintlock, no set trigger, no rear sight or raised tang screw. Dry camp. Bring your own water and wood. Outhouses provided. Food vendors by invitation only!

Designated Camping Areas:
Primitive, Tin Tipi & Traders, Hooker Creek campsite will be open at 9:00 A.M. Tuesday

Registration Fees
Pre-Registration Fees:
$15.00 Individual; $20.00 Family (you, spouse & minor children).
Registration Fees after April 5 & at Gate:
$20.00 individual; $25.00 family.
Entry fees include all trails, one time entry in paper shoots and shotgun. Hawk Poker, Fort Shoot, Squirrel, Long Gongs not included. Re-entries in Paper Shoots and Shotgun will cost extra. Pee-Wee long gong.

Divisions:
MEN’S RIFLE, WOMEN’S RIFLE, JUNIOR (12-17), NOVICE (12-13) PEEWEE (6 – 11), & TRADE GUN.
YOU MAY NOT ENTER MORE THAN ONE DIVISION. Costume point given on rifle trail (3 item minimum) at discretion of official. After shooting your registered event, if you wish to shoot through again, pick up a practice scorecard at registration. No trail shooting allowed without a scorecard.

Tentative Schedule:
FRIDAY: Shooters meeting 8:00 a.m., trails open 8:30am to 4:00 p.m.
SATURDAY: Shooters meeting 8:00 a.m., Trails & paper shoots open 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Long Gong event will be held after 4:00 p.m. Fort Shoot and Hawk Poker times to be announced.
SUNDAY: Shooters meeting 8:00 a.m., clay birds, paper shoots, hawk & knife, pistol & peewee trails open 8:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Awards at 12:00 noon.

Directions:
Leave I-5 at the Hooker Creek interchange (22 miles south of Redding, 9 miles north of Red Bluff). Go west on Hooker Creek Road 2.0 miles to McCoy Road (just over the railroad tracks). Go south on McCoy Road 3.2 miles to the rendezvous site.

  1. No Loaded Firearms in Camp. Firearms will be loaded, capped or primed, and discharged only on the firing line and only when the range is opened by the Range Master. All firearms are to be kept pointed in the air until you are ready to shoot at the designated target. Firearms that fail to fire must be cleared on the firing line. Notify officials if you need assistance!
  2. No loading directly from powder horn or other bulk container. USE A MEASURE.
  3. No alcoholic beverages or smoking on the firing line.
  4. You are encouraged to use shooting glasses and ear protection.
  5. Peewees, Novices, and Juniors must have adult supervision.
  6. Firearms must be of traditional open ignition design. No peep sights, shaders, fiber optics, synthetic stocks or stainless steel.
  7. Illicit drugs and narcotics are strictly prohibited.
  8. Camping restricted to designated areas. This is private property so please keep it clean.
  9. Dogs and other pets to be kept on a leash and under control at all times.
  10. Quiet camp after midnight. No drums after 10PM.
  11. No motorcycles, ATVs, bicycles or other disruptive activity in camp. Generators allowed in the tin tipi area briefly during daylight hours only.
  12. Rowdiness, lewd conduct, or discharge of firearms in camp will not be tolerated. Offenders will be ordered to leave.
  13. This is a family sport. It is expected that appropriate conduct will be demonstrated with due regard for others.
  14. The Bourgeois and Range Officer will have complete authority over the range and camp area. Any violation of the rules will justify shooter disqualification.
  15. Traders’ Guild rules will apply to all trade goods. Food service vendors by invitation only!
  16. Louderback’s ask that all participants assist us in monitoring unsafe conditions or unsafe acts by anyone. We want no injuries from any cause to mar the enjoyment of our sport.
  17. LOUDERBACK’S BLACK POWDER CLUB RESERVES THE RIGHT TO REFUSE ENTRY TO ANYONE.
