2019 Nutmeg Volunteers Fife and Drum Muster
Join us for the 24th Annual Nutmeg Volunteers Fife and Drum Muster on August 31, 2019 at the Fort Griswold Battlefield State Park in Groton, Connecticut. The muster takes place on Labor Day Weekend Saturday. The local Nutmeg Volunteer Junior Ancient Fife and Drum Corps performs as part of the fife and drum corps muster that they also host. Fife and drum corps from around the region will be in attendance.
Nutmeg Volunteers Fife and Drum Muster
A short parade begins at 11:00 a.m. inside the Revolutionary War Battlefield in the park, where Colonel Ledyard, while surrendering the Fort to the British was fatally stabbed with his own sword. The Obelisk Monument will be open during the day to climb and take in views of the Fort, Thames River, and the banks of both Groton and New London. A traditional muster will follow.

Directions: I-95 North take Exit 85 for Downtown Groton. At end of ramp go straight up hill. At second light turn right onto Meridian Street. Go to stop sign and turn left onto Monument Street and follow around to Fort Griswold State Park.
