Yellow River Festival
The Yellow River Festival’s closest neighbor is Farmer’s Market which is open Saturday mornings. The festival was started at the suggestion of Mayor Gary Cook of Plymouth, Indiana. In its start it was only a one day event with a parade and has since grown to a two-day event. The festival has seen over 4,000 visitors in recent years and continues to grow. It is always held the first weekend in June.
A major part of the festival is a focus on the Yellow River itself and the environment around it. We want to help our community better understand the ecological significance of the river and its relationship to Marshall County history and the larger geographic region. Delicious food and creative crafts reflecting the historical period are sold by not-for-profit groups as fundraisers.
