Celebrate the 2nd Annual Powwow in the Park at Edgar Evins State Park on May 20-21, 2017 in Silver Point, Tennessee. Everyone is welcome – public, dancers and drummers! Enjoy two days of drumming and singing exhibition, intertribal dances, demonstrations, storytelling, Native Sisters Foods, artisans and vendors. Presented by Hurricane Marina, Citizens Bank and the Indigenous Intertribal Corporation with Boy Scout Troop 875.
The Powwow in the Park at Edgar Evins State Park is set against the backdrop of beautiful Center Hill Lake, with the powwow grounds on a grassy jetty. Enjoy plenty of intertribal, non-competition dancing. This is a family-friendly event, so bring everyone!
Admission
Admission $3 at the gate, kids age 5 and under free.
TTU with I.D. $2, all active military and first responders are free.
Hours
Saturday hours will be 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. with Grand Entry at 11 a.m. The Sunday hours will be 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. with Grand Entry at 12 noon.

Vendors may tent camp with their booths in the powwow location. Dancers and drummers will be provided campsites for tent camping with power and water. Directions: I 40 – exit 268. From west turn right, from east turn left. This road ends at a 2 way stop in front of the State Park entrance. Go straight into the park and follow signs to the powwow.
