2018 Battle of Griswoldville Anniversary Commemoration
The annual Battle of Griswoldville Anniversary Commemoration will take place at Griswoldville Battlefield 30 miles east of Jarrell Plantation. Learn about the hastily planned attempt by Georgia militia to halt Union General Sherman’s March to the Sea in November 1864. The event includes soldier life portrayals and encampments, battlefield tour, and a memorial service at noon.
EVENT IS IN TWIGGS COUNTY AT THE BATTLEFIELD, 10 MILES EAST OF MACON AND 2 MILES SE OF GRISWOLDVILLE. Event is not at Jarrell Plantation but the staff there can provide directions.
