2019 Fall River Rendezvous at Fall River State Park
Step back to 1816 at the 17th Annual Fall River Rendezvous on September 28, 2019 at Fall River State Park in Toroto, Kansas. Experience a time when the mountain man and the American Indians walked the recently purchased Louisiana Purchase. A time when Lewis and Clark had finished their exploration, and others were wanting to follow in their footsteps.
The Fall River Rendezvous interprets 1800-1840 with a traditional rendezvous when Mountain Men and American Indians camped together to trade for needed supplies from the fur companies. Activities will include Indian and Mountain Men Encampments, Historical Traders, Blackpowder Shoot, Archery Demo’s, Tomahawk Throw, Skillet Throw for the Ladies, and a Kids Gold Rush.
Traders and artisans will ply their crafts, sell historical goods, and conduct demonstrations throughout the day. Lunch will be available at Popo Annies Historical Eatery. Contests for the whole family will make the day even more exciting.
Enjoy the day learning about the 1800 to 1840 time period in American history in this scenic state park on the shores of Fall River Reservoir in Greenwood County.
