2018 Civil War Days in the Battle Born State
Don’t miss the 13th Annual Civil War Days in the Battle Born State on October 19-21, 2018 at Spring Mountain Ranch Park in Blue Diamond, Nevada. The history of Spring Mountain Ranch is a microcosm of Nevada’s history as a whole. Just as Nevada was “Battle Born” in the Civil War, Spring Mountain Ranch exists because our founder was brought through the Las Vegas valley on his way to serve in the Union Army. The Spring Mountain Ranch State Park honors our history with the Silver State Civil War Reenactment.
This large-scale Civil War reenactment features camps of Union and Confederate troops, exciting simulated battles twice per day complete with artillery barrages and infantry charges, and 19th century shopping on Sutler’s Row. Costumed interpreters will interact with the public, and everyone will get and up close and personal look at the event that created the state of Nevada.
