2019 Leslie Mountain Man Rendezvous
The 8th Annual Leslie Mountain Man Rendezvous on October 10-13, 2019 in historic Leslie, Arkansas The mountain folk once again descend on beautiful Leslie for the annual Leslie Mountain Man Rendezvous, an event that brings pre-1840s frontier history to life. Have you ever wondered how our hearty pioneer forefathers survived as they blazed new frontiers across the West and settled among the native peoples of Arkansas? Have you daydreamed about living the life of a trapper in the early 1800s? You’ll get those answers at the Leslie Mountain Man Rendezvous!
The rendezvous is a pre-1840s American Fur Trade era reenactment, located in the quaint Ozark town of Leslie.The mountain folk once again descend on beautiful Leslie for the Annual Leslie Mountain Man Rendezvous. See pre-1840 history come alive as reenactors demonstrate black powder rifle, pistol and smooth bore shooting, tomahawk and knife throwing, primitive archery, cooking, fire starting, and more. It’s a family-friendly event, with kids’ activities as well.

The Leslie Area Merchants Association is partnering with the Early Arkansas Reenactors Association (EARA) to present the Leslie Mountain Man Rendezvous. The EARA members provide our encampment and demonstrate the everyday life skills of early settlers. Our Leslie Mountain Man Rendezvous is a sanctioned event of the Early Arkansas Reenactors Association. This group of dedicated men and women take reenacting seriously. They camp in period tents, dress in period clothing, and they live for the week just like the early fur traders and settlers did.
