2019 Prairie Villa Rendezvous
Relive pre-1840s frontier life at the 43rd Annual Prairie Villa Rendezvous on June 13-16,2019 at Saint Feriole Island in Prairie Du Chien, Wisconsin. CANCELED 2019 due to high water. Since 1976, the Prairie Villa Rendezvous has recreated life as it was when Prairie du Chien was the hub of fur trading. The largest reenactment in the Midwest, Prairie Villa Rendezvous is open to the public with free admission on St. Feriole Island along the Mississippi River.
Prairie Villa Rendezvous
The Prairie Villa Rendezvous is a four-day event held on the third weekend in June (Father’s Day Weekend) and features the a re-creation of life as it was back in the 1840s. In addition to a black powder shoot, primitive bow shoot, primitive cooking contest and other scheduled activities, on-going demonstrations will occur at individual camps all during the event such as blacksmithing, pottery making, weaving, storytelling, etc.

Shooting Events
Anyone in Prairie Villa Rendezvous shooting events needs to be proficient enouth to load their own gun. All participants of the shooting events need to be in primitive dress.

Primitive Camping $50.00 ($55 after June 1)
Modern Camping $50.00 ($55 after June 1)
Number of Days Early Camping @ $25.00 per day/per
All Campers are recommended to have a working fire extinguisher in their camp. There is NO electricity Available. Camp fee includes the Trade Area for Food or Drink Vendors).

All Day Adult Medallion hunt continues
8 a.m. Registration Opens
8:30 a.m.-Rifle Range opens for practice for registered campers
9 a.m. Camp and Flea Market open to the public
9 a.m. Black Powder Competition at the rifle range – registered campers (Public may observe)
1:30 p.m. Knife & Hawk Competition (registered participants)
3-5 p.m. Kick Ball Game (open to campers/visitors)
4 p.m. Pie Auction by Log Cabin (Proceeds to to Fort Crawford Museum)
8 p.m. Evening Entertainment
8 p.m. Adult medallion hunt is done until medallion is found
9 p.m. Camp closes to the public
