2019 WAJ Primitive Rendezvous
Join us for the 32nd Annual WAJ Primitive Rendezvous on June 5-9, 2019 at the WAJ Rendezvous Site in Caledonia, NY. The WAJ Primitive Rendezvous reenactment time period is 1640 – 1840, known as the fur trading time of our history. You can be a French voyager out of Montreal, trapping the Adirondack Mountains in the 1600s to the Jeremiah Johnson of the Rocky Mountains.
To All Newcomers: The Little Beard Club relies on a Special Usage Permit that we receive from the NY Genesee State Park Region to access our site utilizing the Greenway. If you are stopped by anyone, tell them that you are attending the WAJ Primitive Rendezvous. All posted speed limit signs must be obeyed. There is absolutely no parking on the Greenway. The continued access to our beautiful site depends on all our courtesy and adherance t he rules.
Gate Hours & Access Information:
Wed – Fri 8:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m. sharp!
Saturday 8:30 a.m. – 12:00 noon
Sunday: Gate opens after the Closing Ceremony (aprox 10:00 a.m.)
No vehicles in camp until after the Closing Ceremony.
Plan access accordingly, no exceptions!
Late arrivals must pack it in or stay in the parking lot.
A vehicle pass (1-time use) will be issued.
There is a one hour unloading time that is strictly enforced.
Be courteous to your fellow campers and get into your rendezvous persona as quickly as possible.

Pre-registration received by May 14: $25 per adult ($30 at gate)

Early setup available on Tuesday for $5 additional per adult.
Family registration is a max of $80.
Juniors 15 and under – no charge.
Saturday registration fee is $15
No Sutler Fees – early setup is welcome (call Booshway for arrangements)
Camp Notes
Wood and water is provided.
Ice will be available for purchase.
No pets at any time at the site.
WAJ Primitive Rendezvous Event Schedule
Tuesday
To re-create a 1640-1840 time period, clothing, accoutrements, and camp are required until closing ceremony is complete on Sunday.
Wednesday
7:00 p.m. Opening Ceremony
Friday
Cooking contest for breakfast and desert. No repeat recipes.
Saturday
10:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Visitors’ Day
6:00 p.m. Camp Feast: Meat and beverages will be provided by the LBC. Please bring a dish to pass for five or more persons.
Sunday
9:00 a.m. Closing Ceremonies
Adult Events (days & times TBA)
Rifle and Smooth Bore Shoots, Archery, Hawk & Knife Throwing, Woods Walk, Cooking Contest, Ladies Events
Juniors Events (ages 15 & under – days & times TBA)
Rifle and Smooth Bore Shoots, Archery, Hawk & Knife Throwing, Jr. Woods Walk, Kids’ Games. All juniors must be accompanied by a parent or adult guardian. Please encourage your juniors to compet in the Jr Rifle shoot, Jr Hawk & Knife, and Jr Woods Walk so they will be eligible for the Bull of the Woods.
Junior Bull of the Woods will not be awarded unless there are six or more eligible participants.
