Bob Abrames - Voyageur Expedition: Tuk-Trip 2007

The idea of this expedition is to re-enact the voyage of Alexander Mackenzie and his crew in the year 1789. Everything will be period correct ~ birch bark canoes, clothing, food, supplies, language, everything. Anyone can do a canoe trip, it takes a Voyageur to do it 200+ years ago! The journey is from Winnipeg, north through the province of Manitoba, across Saskatchewan, north through Alberta, and north again through the Northwest Territories to the Bering Sea and Tuktoyaktuk.

Feel like going? Bob Abrames is looking for 7 hardy individuals who'd like to do what I did this past summer, only farther and even more authentic. We'll also be carrying guests along on the journey (see more below). If you don't want to be a Voyageur, maybe a week or two 'along for the ride' might be fun! See below for more info.
