2019 Tama Intertribal Pow Wow
Join us for the 49th Annual Tama Intertribal Pow Wow on October 18-20, 2019 at the Tama Tribal Grounds in Whigham, Georgia. The Tama Intertribal Pow Wow, sponsored by The Lower Muskogee Creek Tribe, is a festival that celebrates Native American culture, featureing a dramatic depiction of Native American Life in a living village circa 1800. With demonstrations in archery, flint knapping, weapons, hunting camp, drumming, dancing and storytelling, there will be entertainment for all. Lots of food and drinks will be available including Indian Fry Bread.

Friday dancing will begin with the Grand Entry at 7:00 p.m. On Saturday, Grand Entry will be at 1:00 p.m. and again at 7:00 p.m. The final weekend dance session will begin with the Grand Entry at 1:00 p.m.
As always, there will be traders and vendors, including Singing Dove’s kitchen that will serve authentic Native American food such as Indian Tacos and fry bread, as well as traditional All-American favorites. The traders and vendors, the Living Village and Singing Dove’s Kitchen will be open at all times, weather permitting.
The Tama Intertribal Pow Wow is a family friendly event, so bring everyone. Seating is limited, so be sure to bring folding chairs and blankets to sit on. Pets must be kept on a leash at all times and owners are expected to clean up after them.
