2019 University of Utah Pow Wow
All are welcome at the 47th Annual University of Utah Pow Wow on April 19-20, 2019 at the Union Ballroom in Salt Lake City, Utah. The powwow draws American Indians across the state of Utah in addition to Idaho, Nevada and Wyoming to participate in a weekend of traditional Native American drumming, singing and dancing. The University of Utah Inter-Tribal Student Association presents the annual Powwow beginning with the Grand Entry and dance session on Friday at 7:00 p.m. and two Grand Entries and dance sessions on Saturday at 12:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. in the Union Ballroom. The ceremonial Grand Entry is a cultural and spiritual tradition where a parade of participants enters the dance circle hosted by northern and southern drummers.
University of Utah Pow Wow
The University of Utah Pow Wow is a time for American Indian/Alaskan Native students, faculty and staff to come together and promote appropriate representation of their culture on campus.
