2018-19 Milwaukee Sobriety Pow Wow Midnight Special

Ring in the new year at the Milwaukee Sobriety Pow Wow Midnight Special on December 31, 2018 at the Teaching Lodge at Indian Community School in Franklin, Wisconsin. The Milwaukee Sobriety Pow Wow Midnight Special includes with Dance Specials, Teachings on Wellness, Renewals and the Anishinabe view of the new year (decolonizing your calendar). There are also Games, a Potluck Meal, Vendor booths, activities for kids, wellnes and renewal teachings, and much more!

Donations, raffle items and prizes greatly appreciated. We are looking for organizations to sponsor activities and need volunteers to help set up and clean up. Email ziigwan@yahoo.com to help.

Hours: 5:30 P.M. – 1:00 A.M.

Pow Wow Activities
5:30 pm – 7:00 pm Potluck Meal – please bring a dish bundle to pass*
7:00 pm – 8:30 pm Language Learning Can Be Fun!
9:00 pm GRAND ENTRY for Sobriety Pow Wow
1:00 am Pow Wow Closes

About the Milwaukee Indian Education Committee
The Milwaukee Indian Education Committee is a volunteer based committee in the Milwaukee Metro area comprised of members of Native organizations and the community. This group was founded in 1971 by community members that recognized need and who have been making an impact and reaching new goals every year.
