Oxnard Powwow Committee
The Oxnard Powwow Committee mission is to bring a powwow to the city and surrounding communities to promote awareness, unity, and respect for native peoples and the rich tapestry of their cultural history by enjoying their songs, drums, and dances while also providing a network of service providers that Native People can contact to better their lives. Oxnard Beach Park at the Channel Islands was selected as the location to recognize its ancestral ties to the Chumash people.
