2019 Northwest Colonial Festival and Battle Reenactment

Join us for the 4th Annual Northwest Colonial Festival and Battle Reenactment will be held on August 8-11, 2019 on the grounds of the George Washington Inn and Estate in Port Angeles, Washington. This year’s event will have its own four day weekend to continue telling the story of our founding history as well as life in Colonial America. Billed as the only Colonial Festival on the Pacific Coast, it draws reenactors from as far away as Arizona and California.

Northwest Colonial Festival and Battle Reenactment

The Red Coats are coming! The Battle on Lexington Green will be fought each morning at 10:30 and the Battle of Concord on the Old North Bridge will be fought each afternoon at 2:30. Between these two battles, participate in colonial demonstrations such as a sword duel, court martial, colonial dance and more throughout the weekend, visit the colonial village, enjoy lunch on the grounds, and visit the gift shop. This is your opportunity to relive history, including lots of great activities for the kids.

On all four days of the festival we invite you to join us for afternoon tea on the Inn’s oceanfront piazza. Space is limited to 32 per seating, so be sure to make your reservations early.

Northwest Colonial Festival and Battle Reenactment Mini-Gallery

Between the scheduled battle reenactments, ongoing colonial activities and demonstrations such as wool-spinning, gunsmithing and blacksmithing with colonial period re-enactors, sutlers and artisans can be seen in the colonial village bordering the battlefield, along with the separate British and Militia camps set up for exploration.

The Northwest Colonial Festival and Battle Reenactment event is sponsored by the non-profit George Washington Society, a 501(c)(3) located in Washington State.
