2018 Thunderbird Intertribal Powwow
All are welcome to the 31st Annual Thunderbird Intertribal Powwow on November 2-4, 2018 at the Niceville Mullet Fetival Grounds in Niceville, Florida. Celebrate Native American and Alaskan Heritage Month with activities educating the local community about Native Americans and their role in the past and the present. The purpose of the Thunderbird Intertribal Powwow is to promote cultural understanding, and to encourage participation and goodwill between Native and non-Native persons.

Thunderbird Intertribal Powwow
Experience the sights and sounds of Native American dancing, drumming and singing. Dancing includes intertribal, exhibition and contest dancing. Enjoy storytelling, authentic native crafts from all over the United States, exhibits and demonstrations. The Thunderbird Intertribal Powwow is family friendly, with something for everyone.

GIRLS: Traditional – Cloth – Jingle – Fancy (Ages: 7-17)
MEN’S GOLDEN AGE: All Categories (Ages: 55+)
WOMEN’S GOLDEN AGE: All Categories (Ages: 55+)
TINY TOTS (Ages: 0-6)
Dance Contest Registration and Rules
Where – At the Committee booth next to entrance gate
When – Begins, Friday @ 6:00 p.m. Ends, Saturday @ 12:45 p.m.
Adults (18 – up) $10; Juniors (7 – 17) $5; Tiny Tots – Free
Dancers can only register in one category & Age Group
Proper regalia is required for category of entry.
Dancers are required to be in all Grand Entries: 2 on Saturday, 1 on Sunday.
Spot Checks will be done during intertribal and exhibition dances.
Dancers will be disqualified for any piece of regalia dropped during contest dances.
Dancers on drums are expected to dance intertribals when not drumming.
Dancers must be in Regalia when prize money is awarded[/su_spoiler][/su_accordion]
