Battle of Morseville Civil War Reenactment
We are sure the Battle of Morseville Civil War Reenactment wll be a striking visual Civil War presentation! The Civil War Reenactment is held on the Eloise Pierce Farm (a real farm!), and the 40 acre reenactment space is a cow pasture eleven months out of the year. You are surrounded by farms, without a Walmart or McDonalds in sight to hinder your 19th century ‘period’ immersion. When you wake up in the morning and peek out of your tent you will see acres or corn and rolling pasture and may hear a cow or a sheep in the distance. The Calvary units especially loves this event, because there are no restrictions on running your horses – unlike events held in city parks that worry about hooves ruining the lawn!
Admission
$5.00 Adults
Free – Children 6 and under
Things to Look For:
- Civil War and Farmer’s Market merchants will be on Sutler’s Row all day.
- The Historical Timekeepers, a civilian unit representing the Union homefront, will demonstrate 19th skills and occupations throughout the weekend. This will be their first time demonstrating at this event. They like lots of questions and interactions, so get ready to learn and have fun!
- Stellas Cafe & Catering will again be selling food in the main tent. Yum!
- Musical entertaiment, featuring songs of the Civil War era, will take place during the event.
- Moving and patriotic first person presentation will take place on the event stage.
